FANS is feeling full of energy to present The Capitol Theatre’s 8th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, September 12 at 1PM ET. Enjoy a free day and night of music to celebrate the past eight years of the venue’s history and everything we love about The Cap.
Join us for legendary archival sets, exclusive live performances, greetings from staff and artists, plus words from the community about what makes The Capitol Theatre an essential part of New York’s once-vibrant live music scene.
While you watch, consider making a donation to keep the venue alive during this difficult time and invest in the future of live music! A portion of proceeds will benefit National Independent Venue Association and their mission is to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of independent live music venues and promoters throughout the United States.
The Capitol Theatre is joining hands with Conscious Alliance to create a special commemorative poster to help feed those in need. Conscious Alliance is known for its “Art that Feeds” food drives that take place at concerts and festivals throughout the nation. The nonprofit enlists artists to design commemorative concert posters that are available for purchase or given to concert-goers that bring non-perishable food items with them to the show. With the cancellation of concerts and festivals due to coronavirus, Conscious Alliance continues to find creative ways to help community members in need. With this Virtual “Art That Feeds” food drive, fans who make a monetary donation to Conscious Alliance during the livestream will receive a commemorative poster.
Lagunitas shares the belief that independent music venues like The Capitol Theatre support the economies of communities across the country and are a vital part of the music industry’s ecosystem. Find Lagunitas Delivery or Pickup: lagunitas.com/beerfinder… Or not. It’s all good.
FANS joyfully welcomes KEEN as a partner for The Capitol Theatre’s 8th-anniversary celebration. KEEN shares The Capitol Theatre’s love for the Grateful Dead, and has recently partnered with the Jerry Garcia Family to create a limited-edition collection that features iconic artwork by Garcia.
A values-led, family-owned maker of original hybrid footwear since 2003, KEEN has been consciously creating sandals, boots, and sneakers on its mission to make the outdoors more accessible for all. Our latest collab celebrates the enduring musical and artistic legacy of Jerry Garcia — with 1% of proceeds donated to HeadCount, a non-profit that uses the power of music to register voters. Jerry made live music as a shared experience, one created with his audience, not for it. This idea of togetherness has never been more relevant. At KEEN, we share Jerry’s belief in the power of play to create connections, as kindred spirits in the pursuit of community, freedom, equality, and fun. #VoteLove
