About WoodyFest

Tune in to Virtual WoodyFest 2020, a free online music festival July 14-19!

It all began in 1997 when a group of passionate volunteers gathered with one mission, to honor Woody Guthrie’s music and philosophy that every person has worth, none more or less than another. They went on to form WoodyFest, an annual celebration of the acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet, & activist. In lieu of a physical festival this year, the Woody Guthrie Coalition will host a free virtual festival July 14-19. Virtual WoodyFest will commemorate Guthrie’s 108th birthday with musical performances by artists inspired & influenced by Woody as well as educational seminars. The online festival will feature an absolutely stacked lineup of musical performances including Arlo Guthrie, Jason Mraz, Glen Hansard, Graham Nash, Mary Gauthier and many more plus educational seminars, online panels and poetry.

Virtual WoodyFest 2020 kicks off Tuesday, July 14 (Woody’s Birthday) at 7:00PM CT. RSVP now to get on the guestlist and receive updates, daily schedules, panel lineups and more.
